Urban Disco NYC
The Land Rover brand has run in my family for nearly two decades. I remember being fascinated when my dad got his first Discovery II - the dual moon roofs, stadium seating, and unique Land Rover Adventure Days were enough to make me feel like I was on safari every time we went to football practice or the grocery store.
But growing up in southern Pennsylvania, we also got to experience the Disco's off-road abilities, and this is where I really fell in love. Whether it was ripping around my grandparents farm in 16 inches of fresh snow, crossing creeks to get to building sites, or airing down the tires for overnight surf fishing excursions, it's these memories off the pavement that forever cemented the Land Rover Discovery as my grail of the automotive world.
In New York City I've been intrigued by the presence of this off-road powerhouse in the urban jungle, and over the past year I've began documenting my sightings. Here are a few of my favorite Inner City-Off Road snaps.
